Teen Choice Awards, Not Just For Teens Anymore!

This is an Awards Carpet full of risk and fashion chance, which is why it’s becoming one of America’s favorite carpets to keep an eye on. And don’t let the name “Teen Choice Awards” fool you, either. This is anything but just a teen awards show as year after year bigger and heavier Hollywood hitters swarm the show.

Here’s some of what was to be seen ~

The Kardashian Klan, altogether, it’s either impossible for this picture to look good, or it’s impossible for it to look bad. I guess it depends on how you feel about Khloe‘s Roberto Cavalli creation (left). What do you think, did Roberto pull off the print?

Cat Deely, photo from

With legs and a head of hair like that, Cat Deeley can get away with a lot, which is lucky for her ~

Lucy Hale

OK, Cengiz Abazogla designed this dress. For an obscure designer, what do you think? Will he remain obscure?

Cameron Diaz

They should bottle her actions, because Cameron is on fire! How is it even possible to look this good in every photo? It even seems as if her tabloid pictures are airbrushed. Seriously! How? Shown here in an A.L.C. dress.

Whatever you think of the line up, they are making smart Hollywood decisions by appearing on the teen awards.

I personally think this is the best way for actors and actresses to expand their viewing demographic in the blink of an eye. Appearing on this show says, “come see my movies too!” to the shows demographic… or better yet , it tells Hollywood casting agents “Hey, start putting me in shows that appeal to this demographic!”

Jewelry at the 2011 People’s Choice Award- Florida Jewelry

This year’s People’s Choice Award was filled with beautiful celebrities wearing equally beautiful jewelry. The red carpet was filled with celebrities wearing combinations of earrings and cocktail rings, or earrings and bangle bracelets, a recent trend that has been gaining traction over the year. It was interesting to see many of Hollywood’s younger stars wearing pieces that really stood out while the more veteran actors were wearing more conservative pieces.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift looked like she stepped out of Hollywood of yore with a classic loose updo and a pale peach nude sleeveless bodice dress with pleated cross panel detail. Ms. Swift with her subdued style allowed her jewelry to make an impression with blackened gold and diamond drop earrings from Amrapali, paired with a coral and gold bangle and pearl and gold cocktail ring from Neil Lane, truly a stunning ensemble. Joanna Garcia

Large over sized earrings and bold necklaces were also in abundance on the red carpet. The Kardashian sisters wore great examples of these jewelry styles, Kim Kardashian wore a stunning chunky gold necklace with matching earrings and her sister Kourtney wore the very popular diamond starburst earrings by Amrapali. Actress Joanna Garcia wore lengthy diamond drop earrings and Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars sported a gorgeous diamond and blackened gold necklace with an amazing diamond bangle bracelet and drop earrings.

Ms. Gomez Wearing the Brumani Melange Ring

Selena Gomaz was stunning from head to toe and wore some pieces that I am sure will be very popular in the near future. She sported green amethyst and diamond drop earrings from Tresor’s “Interchangeable” collection, a Brumani Melange 18k gold ring with diamonds, pink quartz, rose de France amethyst, citrine and garnet ring and finished it off with a 14k gold and sterling silver bracelet.
