Is your watch as battered as his face? Repair Your Watch!

Hublot‘sw newest ad is making its rounds on the internet and causing quite a stir. Hublot’s ad shows a black and white picture of an older gentlemen with a heavily bruised face with a sour expression. Below the picture is Hublot’s F1 King Power Watch and the words,”See what people will do for a Hublot.” The original ad ran as a one-off shot in London’s Financial Times and International Herald Tribune the New York Time’s global edition. Watch repair.

The picture is real and the man who is all banged up is Formula One tycoon Bernie Ecclestone, who was viciously attacked and had his Hublot watch torn from his wrist. Ecclestone ever the business man sent a photo of himself along with the above quote to Hublot Chief Exectuive Officer Jean-Claude Biver, it was Ecclestone who suggested the unique ad idea. Hublot Rushes to Meet China Luxury Boom- Watch Sell

Watch Sell

Watch Sell

I have written about Hublot (Big Bang Tutti Frutti) and china’s luxury watch boom in the past. The Swiss watch brand has been vigorously expanding its presence in the emerging Asian markets and is especially focused on China. In the past three years China and Hong Kong have surpassed all other markets to become the largest market for luxury watches. Naturally luxury brands, who have seen sales decline in Europe and America due to the global recession, are rushing to meet this new demand in the far East.

Hublot, which will have 15 stores in Asia by next year hopes to more than double that number. Much of this enthusiasm is coming from Hublot’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver, who is convinced that future profits will grow for the next 30 years, especially in China. Businesses across the world are flocking to Asia, China and Hong Kong and creating a rash of new millionaires in the process. Millionaires in Asia are expected to rise 8.8 percent annually through 2018. Japan and Europe are being swept by trends that embrace a less lavish lifestyle and Hublot views Asia as an oasis in the stagnating market. Sell watches.

There are some signs that Hublot may be taking a risk by betting on the Asian market. China economy has gone through explosive growth the past 10 years but will likely slow to 8.9 percent next year from 10 percent this year. Other luxury watch brands are not as optimistic as Hublot and are refraining from adding new stores in China till they are sure that this is not a “bubble.”

With the average cost of opening a store in China much cheaper than opening one in more traditional locations such as Paris and New York , Hublot is willing to take the risk. China rent rates hover around $100,000 a year compared to the outrageous price of more than $1 million in Paris.

We here at Raymond Lee Jewelers have many beautiful Hublot timepieces available at amazing prices.

Hublot – Classic Fusion

buy and sell watches

Hublot Classic Fusion All Black

Hublot’s popularity has skyrocketed in the last five years after Jean-Claude Biver took over the company in 2004. He quickly introduced the “Big Bang” collection and sales went through the roof. In 2007 Hublot made 24,000 watches, in 2008 they made 30,000, and it only keeps growing. In 2004 when Biver took over Hublot had sales of approximately 24 million dollars in Swiss Francs. By 2008 that number was over 200 million. The innovation continues with the release of a brand new collection, the “Classic Fusion”.

Hublot is known for big, bulky, stylish watches; but now they will be known for something else too, classic watches. The Classic Fusion combines stunning design with a more classic watch. The Classic Fusion is much thinner than the Big Bang and makes for a dressier watch. The design is similar, as without knowing which company produces the watch, your first guess would be Hublot. It still has that classic Hublot look.

The Classic Fusion comes in two sizes: 42mm and 45mm. Ceramic, Zirconium, and Rose Gold make up the three different choices of case material. The ceramic version has a black ceramic case with a black ceramic bezel. The dial is black along with the strap.
The Zirconium models come with both a zirconium case and bezel and one with a zirconium case and black ceramic bezel.
The rose gold comes with a rose gold case with rose gold bezel and with a rose gold case with a black ceramic bezel.

Other specs include an automatic movement, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, and 100m water resistance. The automatic movement has a power reserve of up to 42 hours. The watch rounds out its classic design by only having the classic watch features of hours, minutes, and seconds.

Jean-Claude Biver and Hublot continue to make great innovations in the world of luxury watches. The Classic Fusion will only add to its already distinctive line of beautiful and functional watches.
