Bell & Ross is a relatively new Swiss watch company.  It was established in 1992 by two French designers Bruno Belamich and Carlos A. Rosillo.

Like many preowned luxury watches, Bell & Ross watches design can be traced back to air travel.  The design of most of their watches resembles the instruments in the cockpit of an airplane.

Bell & Ross watches are popular because of their simple design.  Most have a square case with a round dial.  They look sturdy and reliable.

A classic Bell & Ross preowned luxury watches is the BR03-92-S-02600.  It’s functions include date, hours, minutes, and seconds.  It has a large 42mm case and an automatic movement.  The case is blacked out stainless steel and it has a black rubber bracelet.  It is a really cool looking watch.

Many of the watch brands that we sell here at Raymond Lee Jewelers have been crafting luxury watches for decades and in some cases even a century. Bell & Ross in contrast was founded in 1993 by two long time best friends, Bruno Belamich and Carlos A. Rosillo. Although Bell & Ross may be a relatively new brand on the market it has continuously released innovative and quality watches and has become the watch of choice for some of the most dangerous professions.

When Belamich and Rosillo decided to enter the market they met with groups of designers and specialist of aircraft and space controls to gather design ideas. They intended to meet the demands of professionals who faced dangerous and extreme conditions in their line of work. Bell & Ross has succeeded amazingly in this regard; divers, pilots, astronauts and bomb disposal experts swear by these extremely efficient watches.

In the first year of Bell & Ross’ inception they collaborated with Sinn, a highly reputable manufacture of dashboard meters. The Space 1 was released in 1994 and 1996 the Bell & Ross Bomb Disposal Type was released. This Bomb Disposal Type was specially created for the French Security Services and featured anti-magnetic, A-magnetic case, and the legibility, reliability and precision to meet the very special needs and constraints of bomb disposal operations. Bell & Ross followed up this success with the Hydro Challenger in 1997 which won the world water resistant record for being able to resist water up to 11,000 meters! Watch repair.

Bell & Ross enjoyed explosive growth and expanded its popularity beyond just the military and pilots. Bell & Ross decided to create watches that would appeal to a larger segment of the population but still maintained the quality they were known for. In 2003 the Mystery Diamond was released,  this watch had a diamond that floats and turns between the crystal and the dial to show the time. This was the mystery behind its amazing lightness. In 2005 the BR 01 was released, which was inspired by airplane clocks. The BR 01 is proved to be very popular and soon Bell & Ross released updated models BR 02 and BR 03.

Jewelers  and luxury watch makers are starting to look for new ways to advertise their products. The days of relying solely on radio, print or television for advertisement are long gone. Brands such as Bell & Ross, Panerai and even Tiffany & Co. are turning to the digital world to bring in new clients.  They have each opened a new app on the  I Phone’s App Store. These apps are more then just ways to preview existing products, many brands offer users exclusive information about new collections, current and upcoming events, and official boutique locations.

Bell & Ross was the first luxury watch maker to open an app on the I Ph0ne’s wildly popular App Store.  Their app offers users the ability to digitally customize Bell & Ross’s watches, with a wide variety of colors and designs literally at consumers finger tips. Panerai offers a more robust app, allowing users to play a trivia game and download high resolution images and wallpapers. Their app even provides the location and contact numbers for product service experts throughout the world. Brietling and Piaget both have decided to take a simpler approach. Each app focuses solely on a single watch rather than the whole brand. The Breitling’s app features its newest watch, the Chronomat BO1, and Piaget features the beautiful Polo FortyFive Chronograph GMT.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s has taken things one step further and has included in their app the ability for users to take six online classes and learn how Jaeger creates some of its watches. Users are able to practice certain techniques such as assembling a mechanism, decorating a movement and gem-setting the case of one of their watches.

Not to be left out, some of the most well known jewelery makers are following suit and have opened their own apps as well. Tiffany & Co. has created a mobile and user friendly app that allows users to create their perfect engagement ring. Once downloaded clients can view the range of styles and learn about the quality of Tiffany diamonds. Also included is the first of its kind, an accurate Ring Sizer, users can place their ring on the screen and align it with the correct circle to determine the size of their ring. Rings are shown true-to-size and can be zoomed, rotated and can even be paired with wedding bands. Tiffany & Co.’s app has set the bar quite high for other jewelry makers.
